Job summary

Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide direct patient care under supervision. You will handle patient flow, collect vitals and specimens, document care in the EMR, and support the team with administrative tasks in a high-volume physician practice.

The ideal candidate will hold RMA or AAMA CMA certification, have experience in a physician practice, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance to ensure quality

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow and room patients, gather pertinent information for the provider (history, vital signs, specimens, blood draws, simple diagnostics) and prep patients for procedures.
• Respond to patient inquiries and prescription refill requests in a timely manner; refer inquiries to the correct source.
• Use Electronic Medical Records and related software to document clinical care per VRH policies.
• Assist the team with administrative tasks such as faxing and copying in a busy physician practice.

About this position

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-Practices

We are currently looking for a CMA/RMA to provide direct patient care under the supervision of appropriate staff in our practices. Our medical assistants interact professionally and courteously with patients, families and their colleagues to ensure the highest quality care and patient satisfaction.

To support our delivery of quality patient care, you will:

• Managing patient flow and room patients, gathering pertinent information for the provider (e.g. gathering patient history, taking vital signs, specimen collection, blood draws, simple diagnostic testing, etc.) and prepping patients for office procedures.
• Respond to patient inquiries and prescription refill requests in a timely manner, and seek assistance as appropriate in referring patient inquiries to the correct source.
• It uses Electronic Medical Records and other computer and electronically based programs to provide safe, effective care and ensure accurate and appropriate documentation of clinical care in accordance with VRH policies and guidelines.
• Help out in a busy physician practice, helping teammates with faxing, copying, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Compensation:

Min: $21.19

Max: $32.85
