Tenet Florida Physician Services (PBHN) is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians with daily office operations, ensure efficient patient flow, assist with examinations and procedures, and document visits accurately. The role includes triage, vitals, EKG, and phlebotomy as applicable, under supervision.

Required: high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or 3 years of relevant experience, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of a Medical Assisting Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with daily operations of the physician's office.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and assist with patient care, exams, procedures, and education.
• Perform triage, monitor and record vitals of visiting patients.
• Perform EKG and Phlebotomy as applicable.
• Ensure medical documentation of office visits.
• Support scheduling and office coordination in absence of dedicated staff.

Job Summary

$2500 Sign on Bonus

Qualifications

Education

Required: High school diploma or GED

Certification

Required: Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following; National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)

Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience

Required: Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school OR three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting in lieu of Medical Assistant diploma

Preferred: At least one year of relevant work experience
