Job summary

The Palm Beach Health Network Physician Group, also known as Tenet Florida Physician Services, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the physician’s daily operations and patient care. You will help with exams, procedures, triage, vitals, and documentation under physician supervision.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Education requirements for Medical Assistant: high school diploma or GED.
• Clinical education: completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with daily operations of the physician’s office.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and assist with patient care, exams, procedures and education.
• Perform triage and monitor/record vitals of visiting patients.
• Perform EKG and Phlebotomy as applicable.
• Ensure accurate medical documentation of office visits.
• Maintain courteous, helpful interactions with patients and staff.

Job Summary

$2500 Sign on Bonus

Certified Medical Assistant to assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office. Maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures and patient education under the direction and supervision of a physician. Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patients. Ensures medical documentation of office visits. Assist with Office and scheduling coordinator in their absence (if necessary).

• Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner

Qualifications

Education:

• Required: High school diploma or GED
• Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program

Certification:

• Required: Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following; National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)
• Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience:

• Required: Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school OR three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting in lieu of Medical Assistant diploma
• Preferred: At least one year of relevant work experience
