Job summary

UT Health East Texas Physicians in Tyler, TX seeks a day shift, full-time Cardiovascular Consultants Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). You will perform administrative and clinical duties under physician supervision, including scheduling, records, billing, vitals, and patient preparation.

Preferred candidates have CMA licensure, a HS diploma, and about 6 months of clinic experience; BLS within 14 days of hire. We offer career growth, tuition assistance, health benefits, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA).
• BLS certification preferred within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administrative duties: scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing and coding information for insurance purposes.
• Clinical duties: rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current licensure as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 6 months’ medical clinic experience.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
