Job summary

UT Health Tyler is seeking a day-shift, full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for its orthopedic clinic in Tyler, Texas. You will deliver patient care and support clinical and administrative tasks as part of a care team led by physicians or advanced practice providers.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited CMA program, CMA or RMA certification, EMR and MS Office proficiency, and BLS within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program.
• Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) .
• Basic Electronic Medical Record ( EMR ) and Microsoft Office knowledge .
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree .
• Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care.
