Job summary

Compass Medical Provider, LLC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinicians by performing clinical and administrative duties that ensure efficient patient flow and accurate documentation, delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, recording histories and vital signs, assisting with examinations, performing routine procedures (EKGs, phlebotomy, injections), vaccines, wound care, and maintaining complete medical records while protecting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CMA, RMA or CCMA certification from an accredited program.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and instruments according to standards.
• Obtain and document patient history, vital signs, and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with examinations and routine procedures.
• Administer medications, conduct EKGs, perform phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing.
• Administer vaccines and provide basic wound care.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Support patient flow and maintain accurate medical records.

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) supports healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative duties in a medical setting. This role ensures efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient care in accordance with medical and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and instruments according to infection-control and sterilization standards.
• Obtain and document patient medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with examinations.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as:
• Administering medications (per state regulations)
• Conducting EKGs
• Performing phlebotomy and specimen collection
• Conducting point-of-care testing
• Administer vaccines, injections, and basic wound care.
• Document all patient interactions accurately.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality at all times.
• manage patient flow.
• Maintain accurate medical records and prepare documentation for provider review.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA) from an accredited program.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.

Preferred

• 1+ years of experience in a medical office or clinic setting.
• Experience with phlebotomy and injections.

Working Conditions

• Exams and procedures may take place at local offices, mobile clinics, armories or other designated military facilities.
• May require occasional travel to outreach or satellite clinic locations.
• Normal working hours with occasional evening or weekend appointments as needed.
