Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of a high-volume, multi-specialty practice and laboratory, while providing safe and compassionate care to adult patients.
• Facilitate smooth patient flow and care coordination across all specialties.
• Provide efficient intake and rooming assistance to patients, by verifying medical and medication history, including wellness and care management screenings, and confirming visit purpose.
• Perform point of care testing according to practice protocols and assigned specialty.
• Collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Assist physicians with patient assessments and exams, as needed.
• Monitor clinical supply; stock and facilitate ordering and participate in ensuring compliance of emergency and clinical equipment.
• Collaborate with clinical manager for quality improvement initiatives and the development of clinical protocol.

Required Experience/Skills

• Self-motivated, flexible and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills, ability to multi-task and good attention to detail

Preferred Experience/Skills

• EPIC experience
• Experience with specialty-specific workflows and working knowledge of referral processes, prior authorizations, and insurance requirements
• Outpatient Cardiology experience

Education/Certification

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) Certification from a Nationally Accredited Association (NHA) (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)

Work Location: On-site, Travel to other practice locations as needed.

Salary Range: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
