We are currently recruiting a Certified Medical Assistant for our OB/GYN practice in Horsham, PA.

Hours: Varying start times between 6am-7:30am and end times around 4:00-4:30pm, with a rotating 6pm closing shift. Fridays from 6:30am-3:30pm.

The Certified Medical Assistant engages professionally with patients by assisting with care, recording vital information, and providing guidance to maximize their benefit from clinical services, following Axia Women’s Health protocols and physicians' guidance. Job duties include:

  1. Patient Care:
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and vital signs, and scan related documents.
  • Manage schedules and patient flow to reduce wait times and communicate delays effectively.
  • Assist patients with transfers, dressing, specimen collection, and preparation for exams.
  • Gather patient history and support providers during procedures and screenings.
  • Communicate instructions and information to patients and families.
  • Patient Records:
    • Handle medical records, lab/X-ray reports, and hospital notes to ensure comprehensive patient history.
    • Complete necessary forms and requisitions for accurate billing and recordkeeping.
    • Adhere to confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Quality Control & OSHA:
    • Set up instruments, clean rooms and equipment, and maintain sterilizers per protocols.
    • Follow OSHA guidelines and quality control standards to ensure high-quality patient care.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
    • Ability to work effectively with teams to enhance overall impact.
    • At least 1 year of recent experience as a medical assistant or internship in a medical office.
    • eClinical Works experience is a strong plus.
