The Jane Pauley Community Health Center, Inc. is hiring a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support patients and providers in a Federally Qualified Health Center setting in Indiana.

The role emphasizes high-quality, compassionate care and efficient patient flow within a team-focused environment. You will assist with exams, injections, EKGs, phlebotomy-related tasks, and referrals while maintaining accurate documentation in the EHR and complying with CLIA standards.

Qualifications

• Certified CMA or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Graduate of ABHES or CAAHEP Medical Assistant program.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Knowledge of standard clinical, lab, and medical procedures.
• Computer literacy and accurate data entry skills.
• Familiarity with VFC, CHIRP, and VOMS systems.
• Minimum of 3 years’ ambulatory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stock exam rooms for patient care.
• Room patients, check vital signs, and communicate with providers.
• Assist providers with procedures and patient care as needed.
• Administer injections, perform EKGs, and coordinate referrals.
• Triage patient calls, review test results, manage pharmacy calls, and medications.
• Document patient information accurately in the EHR.
• Perform point-of-care lab testing and prepare specimens.
• Maintain compliance with CLIA standards.
• Communicate with patients, families, coworkers, and partners to support care.
