Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience is required.
• One year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program is required.
• In lieu of degree/certification from a Medical/Nursing Assistant program, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience is required.
• CMA-AAMA Certification required upon hire.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under supervision of a physician, physician extender, or RN according to guidelines.
• Handle front office and back office duties as assigned.
