Job summary

Tanner Health in Georgia is seeking a Medical Assistant to render clinical care under physician direction and assist in a busy office environment. You will support day-to-day office operations to ensure quality patient care and contribute to patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation as part of the clinical care process.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, appropriate CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA/CMAC certifications, and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Certification CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), or CMAC (AMCA) accepted.
• Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees, and physicians.
• Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient\'s medical records, physician\'s orders, and medical orders to be communicated to patients, hospitals, and or other physicians.
• Must possess the sense of discipline to work by accepted clinical standards.
• Prior experience of performing x-rays and EKG preferred.
• Six months experience preferred.
• NOTE: BLS within 90 days
