Job summary

Required CMA/RMA certification or current MA registration, with duties including patient assessment, specimen handling, and vaccination administration. This position is based in Cleveland, TN and involves day shifts in a government health facility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a medical assistant program and successful completion of CMA or RMA exam.
• Experience substitution allowed for education per policy to qualify.
• Currently registered or certified as a medical assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct clinical care under supervision of licensed nurses/physicians.
• Perform point-of-care tests and administer medications/vaccines.
• Take vital signs, growth measurements, and perform vision/hearing exams.
• Perform simple wound care, dressing changes, and EKGs; assist providers.
• Maintain quality controls and handle specimens.
• Contribute to clinical care team toward department goals.
