Job summary

Emory Family Practice in East Tennessee seeks an experienced Certified or Registered Medical Assistant CMA/RMA for a full-time clinical support role. You will assist physicians, record vital signs, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and patient education, while coordinating care and maintaining chart accuracy.

The ideal candidate has at least six months of clinical experience and CMA/RMA certification; a radiography credential is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CMA or RMA certification required.
• Six months of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares them for examinations.
• Records vital signs such as pulse, blood pressure, height and weight.
• Performs phlebotomy, injections, EKGs and holter monitoring as needed.
• Assists physicians with procedures and provides patient education.
• Handles triage calls, pre-certifications, referrals, and prescription requests.
• Maintains clean exam rooms and prepares patient records for physicians.
