Join the MercyOne Family! We are hiring a Medical Assistant at our MercyOne Cancer Center.

As a Medical Assistant/Clinic Nurse (LPN), you will support medical activities by performing various medical and clerical tasks to ensure quality care and efficiency.

• Escort patients, obtain and document health data, prepare exam rooms, and assist with procedures.
• Perform lab/diagnostic tests following policies, report critical results, and maintain quality controls.
• Assist in scheduling, patient education, and documentation.
• Complete and submit charges, obtain diagnosis, and document medication administration, ensuring patient safety.
• Follow proper procedures for medication administration and document accordingly.
• Handle patient follow-up communications under supervision.

Schedule:

• Part Time - 32 hours/week
• Days, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

General Requirements:

• At least six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• Additional computer skills preferred.

Education:

• Medical Assistant: Graduate of an approved school, credentialed (CMA, RMA, NCMA).
• LPN: Graduate of a nursing program, current Iowa Practical Nurse license, Minnesota license may be required.
