Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support care teams with direct patient care, screenings, and essential administrative coordination. You will ensure comfort, explain instructions, and coordinate care with clinicians across diverse patient populations.

The role requires clinical knowledge, technical fluency, compassion, and a collaborative spirit open to continuous learning and teamwork in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required at hire.
• Must hold CMA or equivalent certification at hire.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with basic clinical tasks and patient coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
• May draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Administer medications and/or vaccines via various routes.
• May perform routine tests including EKGs.
