Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care in the Cardiology department in Tampa, FL. You will assist physicians/APPs, collect patient data, prepare for examinations, and document treatments in the EMR in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The role requires completion of an approved Medical Assistant program or verifiable work experience, and current BLS; multiple CMA/CMAC/NCAA certifications may be considered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school or verifiable work experience.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.

Responsibilities

• Support and demonstrate effective communication with patients and families.
• Greet and prepare patients for examinations; assist physicians/APPs during exams and procedures.
• Document treatments and patient education in the EMR per policy.
