The role you’ll contribute:

The Certified Medical Assistant works under the direct supervision of the physician or licensed provider, assisting with patient care in compliance with established standards and protocols of Redmond Physicians Group, Redmond Hospital, and Adventist Health Systems. Responsibilities include routine back office functions such as maintaining patient flow, preparing exam rooms, recording medical history, and assisting physicians or nurses as needed. Additional duties involve managing provider/nurse messages, appointment scheduling, prescription refills, and ensuring clinical compliance with sterilization, medication oversight, OSHA, and other standards.

• Ensuring patient comfort in the exam room.
• Performing EHR intake, including medication lists, allergies, vital signs, and complaints, and entering data into the medical record following Meaningful Use regulations.
• Assisting physicians with examinations and treatments, maintaining accessibility.
• Supporting office surgeries with sterile procedures, setting up equipment and trays.
• Performing phlebotomy and laboratory tests as required, adhering to CLIA and other regulations, and passing quality assurance protocols.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences needed to succeed:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training or apprenticeship.
• At least six (6) months of customer service experience in a medical office, with proficiency attained within 3 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• CAAMA credential or Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - AMT.
