Novant Health Cancer Institute is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to coordinate and assist the provider, ensuring safe, quality, cost-effective service for the practice population. What We're Looking For

Education: High school diploma.

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, that includes an externship in a medical office clinical setting, required. Curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration. (Certificate must be obtained within six months of hire).

Certifications accepted:

• CMA – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CCMA – National Health career Association (NHA)
• RMA – American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• RMA – American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
• RMA - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• RMA - National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)

Experience: Previous work in a medical setting preferred.

• Licensure/certification/registration: CMA, CCMA, RMA. Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096. Annual UAP agreement with provider required.
• Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
