Job summary

Heartland Health Services seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide patient care at our Pekin, IL clinic. The CMA will take vitals, document in the EHR, assist clinicians, and support patient flow with a focus on safety and quality care.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, CMA certification, BLS, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. We offer competitive hourly pay, full-time hours, benefits from day one, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited CMA certification program with current certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proficient computer skills for chart completion.
• Basic Life Support certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check in, document vitals, and chart visits.
• Assist clinicians during exams and perform waived lab testing.
• Administer medications as ordered and manage refills.
• Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and equipment.
• Ensure confidentiality and adhere to safety and health regulations.
