Job summary

Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) is seeking a Medical Assistant (CMA) to support patients at the NCR Shared Suites in Washington, DC. The role involves administering medications and immunizations, taking vitals, maintaining supplies, and ensuring safe patient flow.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, CMA certification within 3 months of hire, and preferred ambulatory care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification required within 3 months of hire; multiple cert options listed (AAMA, RMA/AMT, NCRMA, NCMA, RCMAS, CCMA).
• Two years of ambulatory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and immunizations.
• Obtains vital signs and maintains inventory of supplies.
• Ensures safe and efficient patient flow and transitions of care.
• Tracks high-risk referrals and lab tests; supports quality measures.
