Job summary

Orlando Health Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide patient care under physician direction in an ambulatory setting. You will collect data, assist during examinations, and support coordination of scheduling and testing for patients.

The role requires completion of Medical Assistant training (or equivalent experience) and active BLS certification, with CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA credentials as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or 5 years of verifiable applicable work experience in patient care setting).
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and applicable CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under physician direction and lead nurse supervision in ambulatory care.
• Collect patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assist patients and families with examination preparation.
• Assist physician during examinations and procedures.
• Document patient data and treatments per policies.
• Schedule tests and specialty consultations as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff and ensure compliance with policies.
