CHRISTUS Children's in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care operations. The CMA will handle data entry for patient registration and insurance verification, communicate with patients and families, and work closely with nurses and providers to ensure timely, compassionate service in a high-volume setting.

The role requires 1 year of medical office experience, CMA certification, and BLS certification, with a typical 8 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday schedule.

Formación

• 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required.
• Excellent communication with patients and families.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in patient care.
• Accurate Data Entry of charges on patient accounts, registering patients, and updating patient accounts.
• Insurance Verification and recording of Statistics.
• Assist with scheduling patient appointments, answering phones, keeping providers informed of changes, and informing patients of their benefits.
• Other duties as assigned.
