Job summary

MultiCare is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to support the Physician/APP office team. The MA-C performs clinical duties under supervision, including interviewing patients, taking vital signs, venipuncture, and assisting with exams and treatments.

Washington MA-C certification is required, with at least one year of healthcare experience preferred and a current BLS certification. FTE: 0.9, Day shift, Monday–Friday, with an urgent signing bonus and a stable community-focused

Qualifications

MA-C certification required in Washington state.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include: Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff
Interviewing patients
Obtaining vital signs
Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments
Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
Relaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers
Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include: Sending and receiving of patient medical records
Facilitating patient referrals
Preparing forms for patients
