Carolina Family Health Centers in Elm City, NC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join Harvest Family Health Center. The CMA will prepare patients, assist providers, and educate patients within a community-focused, integrated care model.

The position offers a 40-hour workweek with no weekends, full benefits, a bi-annual bonus, 12 paid holidays, and bi-weekly pay. The role may float between Harvest Family Health Center and Wilson Community Health Center as needed.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistants program.
• Current and unrestricted NC licensure to practice as a CMA is required.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus for patient communication.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures are essential.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle sensitive information.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare patients for examination and assist provider with exams.
• Perform routine lab tests and manage specimen handling.
• Administer medications and document in patient records.
• Provide patient education and counseling.
• Triage patients for appointments and walk-ins.
• Maintain sterile, clean clinical areas and comply with OSHA standards.
