Position Details

• Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant
• Hours: Full Time, 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
• Location: Monroe
• Department: PMPH Monroe Staff

$1,000 sign-on bonus! *for external candidates only

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses during clinic hours in providing care, including vital signs, point of care testing, immunizations, and documentation.
• Gather basic patient information and record vital signs such as blood pressure, height, and weight.
• Perform screening tests and immunizations as directed by a physician or nurse.
• Support providers during procedures as needed.
• Assist nurses with document processing, data entry, and clerical duties.
• Collaborate effectively with staff to provide high-level customer service.
• Communicate effectively with all staff to ensure smooth operations and problem-solving.
• Support department goals related to patient service and performance improvement.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in compliance standards.
• Adhere to patient safety and quality standards to improve patient care.

Credentials and Requirements

• Medical Assistant Certification (MA-AAMA, MA-AMT, MA-NCCY, or MA-NHA) required.
• Valid Driver's License (New Jersey preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 2-3 years healthcare experience, including in a doctor's office and with electronic medical records.
