Pain Specialists of America ("PSA") is a Texas-based, multisite comprehensive pain management company with over 15 locations. We are seeking talented professionals to support our business and help achieve strategic objectives.

Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant facilitates patient care in a team-based environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills are required to provide a high-quality customer service experience. The Medical Assistant will work with Providers and team members to deliver a broad array of patient services and must be adaptable to a fast-paced environment. Schedule: Monday to Friday. No weekends or evenings. Travel to nearby clinics may be required.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Prepare for upcoming clinic appointments, ensuring reports are ready for Providers.
  • Clean and prepare examination rooms before patient visits.
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, and record patient information.
  • Collect urine and blood specimens, package, and submit to labs.
  • Manage outstanding order reports for follow-up.
  • Prepare medication refills and obtain prior authorizations.
  • Assist in maintaining medical inventory and placing orders.
  • Support patient communication and maintain sample logs.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior Medical Assistant experience
  • At least one year of medical field experience
  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • Willingness to travel to nearby clinics
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Physical Demands
