Job summary

Harboroaks in Wilmington, NC seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support medical and nursing staff in an outpatient behavioral health setting. You will help monitor patients, document vitals, and maintain a safe, clean environment throughout the med line.

Qualifications include an accredited Medical Assistant program, current certification, and experience in clinic/outpatient care. Prior work in behavioral health or addiction recovery is preferred, with CPR/CPI provided by the facility.

Overview

Qualifications:

• Current Medical Assistant certification
• Knowledge/experience working with chemically dependent patients preferred.
• CPR/CPI (provided by facility)
• Must be 18 years of age based on company policy
• Knowledge of 12-Step program preferred

Ability to work with male and female, adult (18-over) substance abuse/dually diagnosed population

Responsibilities

Assist the medical staff, nursing staff and pt’s., Maintain a safe environment for the pt’s, maintain a clean and healthy environment in the nursing station, able to identify a crisis and inform the appropriate dept., be responsible for maintaining an environment of stability and order while pt’s are in the med. line, assist nursing with vital signs, blood sugars and proper documentation in the chart of the vital signs

Qualifications
