A federal contracting company is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to greet and register patients and manage health records. Job description

Overview

Join to apply for the Certified Medical Assistant role at Cherokee Federal. A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and register patients, verify eligibility in DEERS, and enter patient data into electronic health records (CHCS, Genesis, AHLTA).
  • Schedule, reschedule, and manage patient appointments following clinic guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain patient records, forms, and documentation; file test results and other records accurately.
  • Assist patients with intake assessments, document completion, and use of TOLSM and HAIMS systems.
  • Support administrative processes, including insurance documentation, patient communications, and workload tracking.
  • Assist with quality improvement audits, peer review processes, and data compilation for clinic reporting.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems to support clinic operations and provider workflow.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, and Skills
  • Medical Assistant Certificate from a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited program or U.S. Armed Forces medical training.
  • Current CMA certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants or registration with American Medical Technologists; Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Minimum of 1-year post-graduation experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
Compensation & Benefits

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Certified Medical Assistant: Commensurate with experience. Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
