Job summary

ERP International, LLC seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time role at PCMH clinics supporting Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms, CA. Work schedule is Mon–Fri, 8.5 hours between 7:00am and 6:30pm with no weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, assisting with check-ins and transfers, and recording vitals. The position requires graduation from a accredited MA program, 6 months MA experience, NHA certification, BLS, and ability to obtain a government security

Qualifications

• Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by recognized bodies or armed forces training program.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant after graduation.
• Certification by NHA or other formal certifying program required.
• CPR/BLS certification required and ongoing.
• Must be able to pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms prior to patient's arrival.
• Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
• Check patient's vital signs, to include temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading.
• Obtain and document patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies and vital signs on the correct form.
• Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered.
• Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms.
• Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies.
• Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departing time when patient is released.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by one of the following programs: Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC); Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS); Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET); or Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC). or Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical Technologists or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant after graduation

• Must be able to pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance.

Pay Scale: $27/hr to $34/hr, to be determined based on employment options, qualifications, experience, and location
