Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to keep the day running smoothly for patients and the clinical team. You will lead in proactively preparing patient charts and ensuring information is up-to-date for those seen in our facility.

The role requires WA CM certification, completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program, and strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. You will support multiple patients daily in a busy onsite setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
• WA DOH Medical Assistant - Certified (CM) required.
• Knowledge of third party payer requirements.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient PC skills.

As our Medical Assistant, you’ll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team.

Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on‑site.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program
• Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant - Certified (CM)
• Knowledge of third party payer requirements required.
• Strong aptitude for detail, and ability to work independently
• Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
• Skill in using a PC

Preferred

• One year Medical Assistant – Certified experience
