Speare Primary Care in Plymouth, NH is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in delivering high-quality care. The role involves chart review, patient prep, vitals collection, EMR documentation, specimen handling, and light clerical duties.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, medical experience, and either MA certification or at least one year in a medical office; certification must be obtained within 3 months if not currently certified. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare patient charts for completeness before appointments and ensure lab results are in the chart.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness between patient visits.
• Assist the physician with minor procedures and enter patient information into the EMR.
• Label and prepare laboratory specimens and process referrals as needed.
• Support front desk tasks and other clerical duties as assigned.

We are passionately committed to providing exceptional, local care to our friends, families, neighbors, and communities at large.*Mission*: To work together to serve the needs of our patients and community.*Vision*: A community where all can achieve optimal health.*Values*: Kindness, Collaboration, Patient & Family-Centered, Safety, Excellence, Efficiency, and Professionalism.**What You’ll Do:*** Review and prepare patient chart for completeness of clinical information for the appointment, ensuring appropriate diagnostic study/lab results for the exam are in the chart* Prepare exam rooms as appropriate for each patient visit, and clean exam rooms between each patient encounter* Accompany patient to exam room, obtain vital signs, and review and enter patient information, including medical history and medications list, into the EMR* Assist the physician with minor office procedures and examinations* At the completion of the visit, label and prepare laboratory specimens for transport, and complete referral letters to appropriate physicians* During the course of the day, screen add-on patients, return patient phone calls regarding care and instructions, maintain medical supplies in exam rooms and supply closets, screen and process incoming calls for prescription renewal, verifying that all information is complete and accurate prior to tasking to physician for review* Administer immunizations and/or medications as directed by the physician or advanced practitioner and document in the EMR* Perform CLIA waived in office testing and document results in the EMR* Perform ECGs as directed by practitioner* Fill vacancies at other Speare physician offices (both clinical and clerical) as requested.
