Job summary

St. Thomas Rheumatology Consultants PLLC in Nashville, TN is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our team. This role covers back-office duties with patient intake, rooming, and coordinating labs and imaging.

Travel to a satellite clinic once a week is required, and a strong patient-centered approach is essential. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a physician’s office, EMR proficiency (Nextgen preferred), and the ability to work both front-office

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician’s office
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is required; Nextgen experience is a plus
• Ability to work in both front-office and back-office roles; prior experience in both is preferred
• Patient-centered approach: Must always prioritize patient care and customer service
• Ability to travel to our satellite clinic
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs, blood pressure, and medical history
• Room patients and maintaining exam rooms
• Enter medications into the system and assist in medication prescribing
• Ordering labs and imaging
• Schedule patients efficiently and provide front-office support
• Triage patients and apply sound clinical judgment at all times

Position Offers:

• Competitive hourly pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
