Pride Health is hiring a skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our client at a medical facility in Largo, FL. This is a 13-week contract with the possibility for an extension, and a great opportunity to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.

Specific Duties:

• Performs venipuncture under the direction of a physician or advanced care practitioner.
• Contact patients as needed to give testing results instructions from the physician and schedule necessary visits.
• Answers telephone inquiries and triage calls.
• Responsible for all laboratory duties, including drawing, spinning, prepping blood for testing, and maintaining appropriate logs.
• Acts as a liaison between all independent lab services and the center.
• Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to superior customer service, including quality and care, and concern with every internal and external customer.
• Under the direction and supervision of a physician, administers medications, administers immunizations, EKGs, ear washes, and other patient services.
• Assists in simple office and minor surgical procedures.
• Assists with the education of the patient and/or family as directed by the physician.

Must have Skills/Qualifications/Education / Work Experience:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• 2+ Years working as a medical assistant.
• Active CMA/RMA/CCMA certification.
• Maintain current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information:

Location: Largo, FL

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shifts: Monday-Friday, Day Shift

Hourly Pay: - $21 - $23/hour
