Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff across multiple Illinois locations. You will greet patients, document vital signs, and assist with procedures in a fast-paced setting.

Role requires 2–3 years of hands-on clinical experience, MA training or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification, and strong patient-facing skills. EMR proficiency with Epic/Athena/EClinicalWorks is preferred; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
• Experience performing vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections.
• Completed MA training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification.
• Proven patient-facing experience in a fast-paced environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories in EMR/EHR.
• Perform clinical tasks: phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, specimen collection.
• Document interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver excellent patient service in a high-volume clinic.
• Utilize EMR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
• Support patient care across offices, clinics, urgent care, or hospitals.

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring a smooth workflow in our clinics. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians during medical procedures, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.

Position Details

• Location: This position floats between our Orland Park, Frankfort, Plainfield, and Naperville clinic locations
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
• Compensation: $25-$28hr based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR)
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• 2-3 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification required
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required
