Job summary

Citrus Cardiology Consultants, P.L.L.C. is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff in delivering excellent cardiovascular care. You will escort patients, collect histories, perform diagnostic tasks, and assist with procedures in a fast-paced office setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program required.
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA or equivalent certification required.
• CPR certification required or willingness to attain on hire.
• Cardiology or specialty experience is a plus.
• Strong computer/EMR proficiency and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and deliver outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication lists.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing.
• Assist physicians during exams and minor procedures.
• Perform EKGs, administer injections, and collect lab specimens as trained/credentialed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and electronic medical records AMR.
• Support scheduling, prior authorizations, and medication refills as needed.
• Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
• Provide patient education regarding medications procedures and follow up care.
