JOB SUMMARY: Coordinates patient care with physicians, assists with assessments, administers medications as per physician orders, and supports administrative duties to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Clinical Support

1. Greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, prepare them for treatment, and record vital signs.
2. Assist physicians as needed.
3. Perform spirometry and other breathing tests.
4. Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment, including sterilization.
5. Provide patient education when appropriate.
6. Document in patients' medical records accurately.
7. Call in prescriptions as ordered by physicians or nurse practitioners.
8. Perform allergy prick and intradermal testing as ordered.
9. Administer allergy injections following physician-approved schedules.
10. Monitor patients for adverse reactions post-injection.
11. Maintain emergency equipment such as oxygen, suction, and code kits.
12. Respond to patient-related calls according to protocol.
13. Follow up on referrals and insurance authorizations.
14. Maintain clinical supplies and medication samples.

Other Duties

1. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and practice policies.
2. Stay updated with practice management and other relevant software.
3. Attend required CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, and OIG training programs.
4. Participate in regular meetings.
5. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
6. Complete all required training within designated timeframes.
7. Adhere to Allergy Partners and department policies, reporting violations accordingly.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• CMA certification preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum one year of clinical assisting experience.
• Proficiency with email and internet applications.
• Knowledge of practice management and word processing software.
• Strong communication skills.
• Neat, professional appearance.
