Job summary

Cleaver Dermatology & Aesthetics in Gainesville, GA is seeking a motivated Dermatology Medical Assistant to support physicians in medical and procedural dermatology. You will scribe, room patients, assist with biopsies and injections, and ensure a sterile, efficient clinic.

Ideal candidates hold a Medical Assistant certification or equivalent, with dermatology experience preferred. You will maintain EHR accuracy, manage patient flow, and educate patients on procedures.

• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Prior dermatology experience strongly preferred (willing to train the right candidate).
• Experience with medical scribing and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Scribe in real time during patient visits, documenting histories, exams, assessments and plans in the EHR.
• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories.
• Prepare patients and rooms for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers with dermatology procedures, including biopsies and excisions.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with instrument setup and breakdown.
• Clean, sterilize, and store instruments according to protocol.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
• Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions.
• Manage prior authorizations, medication refills, and follow-up tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent care.
