Cleaver Dermatology & Aesthetics in Dawsonville, GA is seeking a motivated Dermatology Medical Assistant to support providers in medical and procedural dermatology. The ideal candidate will scribe in real time, prepare exam rooms, and maintain sterile instruments in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting with biopsies and excisions, managing instruments, admin meds/injections, and educating patients on post-procedure care.

Competenze

• Medical Assistant certification preferred or equivalent experience.
• Prior dermatology experience is preferred and training is available.
• Experience with scribing and electronic health records.

Key Responsibilities

• Scribe in real time during patient visits, accurately documenting histories, exams, assessments, and plans in the EHR

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories

• Prepare patients and rooms for examinations and procedures

• Assist providers with medical and surgical dermatology procedures, including biopsies and excisions

• Maintain sterile technique and assist with instrument setup and breakdown

• Clean, sterilize, and properly store instruments according to protocol

• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers

• Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions

• Manage prior authorizations, medication refills, and follow-up tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience preferred

• Prior dermatology experience strongly preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
