Certified Medical Assistant - North Dallas, TX

As a Medical Assistant, you will assist the physician and handle daily clinic duties. Communication and teamwork with patients, co-workers, and physicians are essential.

Preferred Experience (Highly Desired but Not Required)

• Urogynecology experience (preferred, as this role involves working mainly with female patients with specialized needs)
• Urology
• Ob/Gyn
• NextGen or similar EMR systems
• Surgery scheduling
• Bilingual abilities

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information
• Perform tests as ordered by the physician
• Assist with patient exams and procedures
• Prepare patient rooms and specimens
• Administer injections and catheters using sterile technique
• Clean and restock areas
• Sterilize instruments
• Perform veni-puncture
• Document patient charts
• Perform triage duties
• Assist primary nurse with labs
• Open and close clinic and labs
• Experience in front and back office tasks is a plus
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Basic understanding of urology-related conditions and procedures
• Effective communication skills
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and patients

Independent Judgment

• Work according to established procedures, using judgment and discretion
• Handle patient questions and complaints appropriately

Minimum Requirements
