Job summary

Armor Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in a role focused on direct patient care and support. The position emphasizes accurate vital signs, chart preparation, and assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures in a clinical setting.

The ideal candidate will have a Medical Assistant program certificate with EKG certification, CPR certification, and strong EMR skills, with the ability to pass required pre-employment clearances.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program with a certification in EKG.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks.
• Obtains patient histories, takes vital signs, prepares charts and assists with medical examinations.
• Assists doctors in examining and treating patients.
• Performs routine procedures under established protocols (phlebotomy, EKGs, dressing changes, wound cultures, IM injections).
• Maintains and stocks medicines and medical supplies as necessary.
• Practices safety, environmental and infection control methods.
