Job summary

The JOY FM is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support medical providers with patient intake, chart prep, vital signs, EKGs, lab work and patient care. You will maintain medical records and coordinate with pharmacies and offices.

Responsibilities include assisting with medication refills, referrals, data entry, and contributing to efficient patient flow while upholding high-quality standards under provider supervision.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant
• Must have and maintain CPR certification
• Basic medical knowledge
• Ability to work effectively with patients and physicians from a variety of backgrounds and lifestyles while maintaining a professional, non-judgmental attitude
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work as a team player and multitask
• Ability to appropriately respond to emergency situations
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Current driver’s license
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to take initiative, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work efficiently and independently under provider supervision
• Knowledge of general medical practices, policies, standards, regulations, protocols, and EMR/database systems
