Job summary

AA Healthcare Management is seeking a Med Tech to assist in nursing care and medication passing within a skilled nursing facility in Wisconsin. The role collaborates with facility nurses, supports telehealth visits, and may take vital signs and provide basic first aid as needed.

The position requires an active Med Tech certification in Wisconsin for SNFs and a CNA license, with 1 year of Med Tech experience preferred. Competitive benefits and a sign-on bonus are included.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Med Tech certification in Wisconsin for skilled nursing facilities.
• CNA license required.
• 1 year Med Tech experience in a skilled nursing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications following current standards of hygiene, safety and infection control.
• Take and record vital signs when administering medications.
• Respect resident rights and allow medication refusals when appropriate.
• Notify RN/LPN if deciding not to administer medication or treatment.
• Clarify any order with the licensed nurse if needed.
• Monitor residents who self-administer meds and report deviations to staff.
• Secure medication cart and ensure proper storage.
• Remove discontinued or outdated drugs from inventory.
• Recognize unsafe conditions for medication provision and report them.
• Document medication provision accurately and timely.
• Report general reactions to medications.
