Job summary

The Fountains is seeking compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Certified Medication Technicians (Med Techs) to join our team. The Med Tech administers medications, helps residents with daily living activities, and ensures the highest level of care and safety in line with community policies and state regulations.

Key duties include documenting medication administration, monitoring for side effects, supporting ADLs, communicating changes to nursing staff, and keeping carts and records

Qualifications

• Current Certified Medication Technician (Med Tech) certification required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Accurately document medication administration and resident observations.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and potential side effects.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Maintain medication carts, supplies, and records in compliance with regulations.
• Promote resident dignity, independence, and quality of life.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.
