Job summary

The Retreat at Fort Walton Beach is seeking Med Techs to join their team. The Med Tech will monitor residents' health, provide leadership support, and assist with care and services, including medication administration and wellness activities.

Responsibilities include supporting the Wellness Nurse, conducting monthly wellness visits, updating PSPs, and communicating changes in care or medications to leadership. Evening and weekend flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Must be certified Medication Aide and/or meet the state requirements for medication aide.
• A minimum of one year of experience working with elders or disabled individuals, preferred.
• Must have demonstrated Leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living industry and Dementia care or Skilled Nursing, preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours, available to our customers at peak service delivery days and times.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health and well being of residents and provide leadership support and assistance with resident care and services.
• Administer medications and maintain clinical quality assurance while leading wellness components of PSP and monthly wellness visits.
• Communicate with resident support services and families and inform Wellness Director of changes in medication or service levels.
• Assist with obtaining weights and vital signs monthly for each resident prior to completion of monthly wellness visit.
• Support the Wellness Nurse with completing clinical sections of monthly wellness visits and PSP.
