Job Overview

The Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing the highest quality care by administering medication and treatments safely and organized. Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, and resident care, aligning with Sunrise’s mission to champion quality of life for seniors, in accordance with applicable laws and policies.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
  • Document medication administration and resident information diligently.
  • Follow the Six Rights of Medication Pass and ensure timely medication delivery.
  • Maintain confidentiality and report concerns promptly.
  • Assist in medication re-fill processes and maintain medication storage areas.
  • Support resident independence and dignity, practicing good hygiene and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
  • Participate in safety and risk management practices and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to team success through active participation in meetings and training.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma/GED; certifications as required by state/provincial regulations (e.g., CPR, First Aid).
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Preferred experience working with seniors.
  • Strong communication, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license if required for the role.
