Job Overview

The Medication Care Manager provides high-quality care by administering medication and treatments safely and organized, in accordance with laws, regulations, policies, and Sunrise’s mission to enhance the quality of life for seniors.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, documenting all procedures and resident responses.
  • Review, read, and update resident medication logs and communicate updates from healthcare supervisors.
  • Follow the Six Rights of Medication Pass to ensure safety.
  • Maintain confidentiality and proper documentation of all resident information.
  • Assist in medication checks, restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean medication area.
  • Assess residents for needs and document appropriately, including “as needed” medications.
  • Participate in resident care communication, planning, and safety protocols.
  • Follow safety procedures, report incidents, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to team success through active participation, training, and engagement programs.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED; relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid) maintained as required.
  • Minimum age 18; experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Strong communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to react calmly in difficult situations and handle multiple priorities.
