Job summary

Oakes GMC in Kansas City, MO seeks a General Motors Certified Master Technician with strong service technician background and ASE certification. The role includes performing work on repair orders, diagnosing necessary repairs, and communicating with the Service Advisor.

Compensation is $45-$52 per flag hour with a benefits package including dental, health and life insurance, vision, paid time off, employee discounts, EAP, and professional development assistance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of service technician experience preferred.
• GM Certification and ASE Certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dexterity and steady hand with good hand-eye coordination.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on repair orders with efficiency per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify needed repairs.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, A/C).
• Provide estimates of time for additional repairs to the Service Advisor.
• Execute repairs under manufacturer specifications, including warranty work.
