Piedmont Atlanta Hospital seeks a Medical Assistant to join a caring team in Georgia. You will support physicians, APPs, and registered nurses by performing patient care activities under established guidelines and standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, and BCLS. CMA-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT certification is required or preferred, with relevant clinical experience valued.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required.
  • In lieu of formal education program, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required.
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization Required.
  • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT Required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

Education
