Sierra Pacific Industries seeks a Certified Log Scaler to join our Quincy, California sawmill team. You will measure logs for scale and grade, perform scale checks, and operate log yard equipment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Certified Log Scaler with at least 1 year of recent experience.
• Knowledge of log grades and species identification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to solve simple and moderate math problems.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.

Responsabilités

• Measure logs to determine scale (volume) and quality (grade).
• Pass scale checks conducted by company and outside inspection agencies.
• Be proficient in scaling rules and procedures.
• Safely and efficiently operate log yard equipment (front-end loader, water truck).
• Support continuous improvement and overall quality efforts.
