Job summary

New Bern Auto Group in New Bern, NC is seeking skilled Lincoln or Ford technicians to join our growing team. We offer a sign-on bonus or relocation assistance and we’ll help move your toolbox.

You’ll diagnose and repair automotive systems, test-drive vehicles with diagnostic tools, and communicate with the Service Advisor about estimates and warranty work. A strong automotive background and willingness to undergo a background check are required.

Qualifications

• ASE certification preferred.
• Clean and valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency following dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to analyze systems.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair engine, transmission, electrical and other systems.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about estimates and any additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal
